(poem) Arrivals and departures

Arrivals and Departures

Robin Ford

Deep within primordial darkness,
Not yet seeing, not yet seen,
Spark of life is just beginning,
Not yet human, in between.

Honeytree sees half his waking.
Quite content, the boy beguiles.
Face expectant at the window,
"Look it's Grandma!" Grandma smiles.

Reqiescat complex Richard.
Reqiescat, rest in peace.
Such a long time in the leaving,
May your god grant you release.

When it's time for my departing,
Will you sit and be with me?
Hopeful eyes look through the window
Of a last, sweet, Honeytree.
