(poem) Nursery rhymes for petrol heads 5. On Tyler Street (Little Boy Blue)

Robin Ford 2013

Little boy blue

Little Boy Blue, come blow on your horn.
The sheeps in the meadow, the cows in the corn.
Wheres the boy who looks after the sheep?
Under a haystack, fast asleep.
Will you wake him? No not I
For if I did he’d surely cry.

On Tyler Street

Sergeant in blue, it starts to make sense,
The van in my garden, the hole in the fence.
Wheres the kid who was driving the van?
Having a talk with their old man.
Will they repay me, by and by?
Nothing’s insured, but you can try.
